Behavioral health is an industry that cares. An industry that saves lives, gives hope, and builds connections. These connections with our prospective customers and existing clients is more important, and also easier to maintain, than ever before. This is largely due to the ever-evolving landscape of mobile technology. Those in search of help have instant access to information about behavioral health institutions, a touch point to stay active in recovery, as well as multiple ways to communicate with staff after treatment, creating a more complete continuum of care. In this first installment of ‘A Caring Industry’ we will be focusing on how our clients can stay in contact in a mobile world, more specifically after treatment and in alumni-program settings. I had the pleasure of discussing some of these new technologies with CaredFor co-founder Parker Polidor. As co-Founder of CaredFor, Parker wears many hats and enjoys partnering with companies looking to try an innovative approach to Alumni Engagement. Parker lives in Nashville, TN with his wife and 2 year old son. CaredFor is a digital platform that helps to connect, engage and influence alumni and their families. With CaredFor alumni stay connected with each other to provide peer support leading to improved outcomes and increased referrals.
What is CaredFor and how does it add value to the behavioral health and recovery industries?
CaredFor is a digital platform that helps to connect, engage and influence alumni and their families. With CaredFor alumni stay connected with each other to provide peer support leading to improved outcomes and increased referrals.
How important are alumni programs and their engagement to a successful digital marketing program in behavioral health?
Alumni Engagement rates drop off significantly in the first year and treatment providers need to have several ways to stay connected to their alumni. A strong, engaged alumni group can turn into an army of advocates that helps to build brand awareness and increase referrals. More importantly, being connected to alumni gives us the opportunity to offer support, encouragement and other resources to achieve long term sobriety and improve outcomes.
What sets CaredFor a-part from other alumni apps on the market?
CaredFor is focused on community rather than compliance. We want to provide a sober safe place and online community where alumni can find ongoing hope, motivation and most importantly a sense of community and belonging.
Is there a personal story behind CaredFor? What brought you to the addiction treatment space?
I’ve known people in recovery and understand the importance of support and encouragement. But because I’m not in recovery, I never knew what to do or what to say to help. These experiences led us to focus our company to serve those in recovery and the treatment centers that provide hope.
How can addiction treatment facilities integrate CaredFor into their alumni programs?
CaredFor can be rolled out to new and existing alumni and can provide immediate value to small or large treatment centers. We’ve designed our platform around the busy schedules of treatment center staff. Our focus is on improving your current alumni experience and in the process saving you time. We’ve created an on-boarding and success plan which guides the treatment facility from setup through launch. As alumni start using the platform, you can instantly track engagement and other key metrics.
