We are delighted to announce that Dr. Maryann Rosenthal has accepted the position of Executive Director of Recovery Ways Utah. Dr. Rosenthal was previously the Chief Clinical and Compliance Officer and will continue in her role of Chief Compliance Officer. Dr. Rosenthal was one of the founding members of the 2010 Recovery Ways leadership team, where she led the creation of the clinical program. Working with her daughter, Dr. Stormy Hill, she introduced the concept of sensory integration and occupational therapy for trauma treatment to the Western United States. Under Dr. Rosenthal’s clinical guidance, the Recovery Ways sensory rooms and spaces were built in each Utah facility, as well as at Breakthrough Recovery in Spokane, Washington. These sensory rooms have provided a space for healing to thousands of patients.

Dr. Rosenthal returned to Recovery Ways after her time as a surveyor for the Joint Commission. A Doctorate in Psychology, she has been instrumental in the creation of the mental health primary program at Recovery Ways, as well as the revamp and relaunch of the Recovery Ways Family Program. A key member of our enterprise leadership team, Dr. Rosenthal has been key in obtaining Joint Commission accreditation for all of the programs in the Recovery Ways Family of Programs.

In addition to being a sought after keynote speaker, Dr. Rosenthal is also a published author. Among her versatile writing is “Be A Parent, Not A Pushover,” selected by USA Book News as “Best Book” in their family/parenting category. She co-authored with Denis Waitley, the new family leadership program, The Seeds Of Greatness System taught worldwide.
